If I have a temporary stay permit in Poland, can I legally bring my family to Poland to live with me?
L.T.: Yes, You can provide Your family members a temporary stay permit also and bring them to Poland.
Can I obtain permanent residency in Poland after purchasing real estate or making a significant investment?
L.T.: No. The categories of individuals eligible for permanent residency in Poland are limited and do not include investors or real estate owners.
Can I obtain Polish citizenship with a Polish Card?
L.T.: A person with Polish ancestry, confirmed by obtaining the Polish Card, may be eligible to apply for Polish citizenship after fulfilling additional requirements.
Temporary residence card and temporary residence permit are two different documents that are obtained separately.
These are two interconnected documents that allow third-country nationals to legally stay in the territory of the Republic of Poland for a specific purpose (education, work, business, etc.). The primary document is the Decision (permit) – Decyzja, based on which the actual plastic card – Residence Card (Karta Pobytu) is issued.
May I change my employer having a Karta Pobytu (Residence card?
In the case of temporary stay (pobyt czasowy) and when a Residence Card (Karta Pobytu) is issued for the purpose of working in Poland, it is not necessary to change the actual card itself, but the Decision (Decyzję) needs to be changed. However, there are exceptions for certain categories of Ukrainian citizens who fall under the scope of the Act of the Republic of Poland “On Assistance to Ukrainian Citizens Affected by the Armed Conflict on the Territory of Ukraine” (Dz.U. z 2013r. poz.103).
What are consequences of not complying with the return obligation decision?
L.T.: In case of failure to comply with the voluntary departure requirement specified in the decision, the decision will be enforced forcibly.
When the decision is forcibly executed:
- proceedings are initiated to compel the foreigner to cover the costs of its execution;
- the foreigner’s data are placed in the SIS for entry refusal purposes, resulting in a ban on entry into the territory of the Republic of Poland and other Schengen Area countries.
